February 14, 2023 – Regional and Global Programs Specialist of Australian Embassy in Cambodia, Mr. Paul Jenkins, visited the Best CHOICES project in Bakan district, Pursat province. The visit was conducted as part of the the Australian NGO Cooperation Program (ANCP) Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Framework, which ADRA’s Best CHOICES project is a partner.
The Best Community Household Opportunities through Improved Community Empowered Solutions (Best CHOICES) Project is supported by the Australian Government and ADRA Australia. This five-year project starting from July 2019-June 2024 aims to improve family financial security and well-being for poor and vulnerable households in Bakan District, Pursat Province, Cambodia with three Outcomes. Outcome 1: Increased safe effective labour migration resources in place and values-based decisions being made based. Outcome 2: To improve Households and Community Health (Nutrition, Non-Communicable Disease, Hygiene) seeking behaviors for parents and caregivers. Outcome 3: Livelihood income skills, opportunities, and stability increased for 547 poor and vulnerable households in Bakan district.
