REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST (Individual Consultant for a Project Final Evaluation)
The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) Cambodia has implemented Baray-Santuk Nutrition for U2 and Mothers 2 (BSNUM 2) project in 30 rural villages of the Baray Santuk district, Kompong Thom Province with funding from Canadian Food Grains Bank (CFGB), ADRA Canada, Kindercare Learning Centres, ADRA New Zealand, the Government of Czech Republic, ADRA Czech Republic, and ADRA International. The project focuses on improvements in Maternal and Child Nutrition and includes clean water and livelihoods promotion components in addition to community driven health behavior change and nutritional rehabilitation interventions.
Tho’s Story of Change
Ms. Tho said” I decide to call my husband to return home, because I have many works to manage such as planting more crops, looking after vegetables and animals. Now, my husband comes, so he helps me to do housework and take care of the crops, so I can go through the village to purchase vegetables.”
Good cooperation and support from PDAFF has helped to expand new crop cultivation (Orange and yellow watermelon) to access new market opportunities with better profit earning.
Vegetable is the potential crop contributing to improve the family economy of farmers there, that farmers can earn as daily income or in a short period of time. According to a July report from the Kandieng District Agriculture Office, the area under vegetable cultivation was about 63 hectares, which mostly were the leafy vegetables, since it is the traditional practice of the farmers there on the such crop for many decades. They thought that the leafy vegetables can be grown well in their area and each family just grows vegetables on a small plot.
World No Tobacco Day 2022 event
On June 13, 2022, members of ADRA Cambodia’s TOGETHER team celebrated World No Tobacco Day on the theme of “Tobacco Poisons our Environment.” The event highlighted the harmful effects of tobacco use and secondhand smoke on newborn babies, children, pregnant women, and youth.

The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) Cambodia is implementing Sustainable Best Community Household Opportunities through Improved Community Empowered Solutions (Best CHOICES) project in 50 rural villages of the Bakan district, Pursat province with funding from Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) Australia and ADRA Australia. The project works with government offices to provide counsel on safe migration to migrant families, seeks to improve HH and Community Health seeking behaviours for parents and caregivers in nutrition awareness and rehabilitation, Non-Communicable Disease lifestyle health action training for at risk caregivers, Hygiene and WASH inputs, and to increase livelihood income skills, opportunities, and stability for poor and vulnerable households in Bakan district.
Sreynorng’s Story of Change
Sreynorng was gentle and quiet. The first day she started class, she was not energetic and she was frightened of other kids. She didn’t even talk to the teachers.

REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST (LNGO Advocacy Capacity Building Grantee Selection)
The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) Cambodia is implementing the uniting TOwards Gender Equality for enjoyment of women’s and girls’ Total HEalth and Rights “TOGETHER” project in 318 rural villages of 12 districts and 3 provinces in Kompong Thom, Preah Vihear, and Steung Treng with the funding from Global Affairs Canada and ADRA Canada. ADRA would like to invite Local NGO partners to apply who are interested to to build their own organization skills and join in working with ADRA and other local partners in research and advocacy and to contribute to the broader project objectives of increasing enjoyment of health-related rights by the most marginalized adolescent girls, women and U5 children. The ONE selected LNGO will be provided with grant funds to join in the research and advocacy activities of the project between 2022 and 2026.

The ADRA TOGETHER project will be working with the Community based activities in and out of school. ADRA is seeking a Consultancy based partner team to support planning and coordination with the ADRA team and local health officials for various training, monitoring, and other logistics related to the project MOH system capacity building objectives. This consultancy will work over a 5 year period of time.

My change for my child
After she joined in the project, she has changed. She has joined the discussion group meetings more regularly and became active with other participants in the group. Before, she ate less green vegetables. When she has changed to eat vegetables more frequently, she understands the benefits for her family. Her child ate a lot every day and her skin became brighter and nice. She understands more about general health, drink water from water filter, three food groups. Now for cooking, she uses meat, fish, and lots of green vegetables.
