These events will also raise awareness of health, menstrual hygiene, and environmental sustainability.<\/p><p>The recognition events will take place on:<\/p><ul><li><strong>March 25, 2025, in Preah Vihear Province<\/strong>, honoring six middle schools: Khyorng MS, Putrea MS, Sdao MS, Tbeng Mouy MS, Tbeng Py MS, and Ro Ang MS.<\/li><li><strong>March 26, 2025, in Stung Treng Province<\/strong>, recognizing three schools: Thmortaprom HS, Sdao MS, and Oreuseikandal MS.<\/li><\/ul><p>Approximately <strong>500 participants, including 380 females,<\/strong> are expected to attend these events.<\/p><p>These events are part of the <strong>Promote School-Based, Girl-Centered, Inclusive, Safe, Confidential, and Environmentally Sensitive Menstrual Hygiene Management<\/strong> initiative. The initiative aims to support adolescent girls&#8217; sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), ensuring they can fully participate in daily activities during menstruation. Through collaboration with MoEYS, the project has contributed to developing policies and criteria for model schools that prioritize safe and inclusive menstrual hygiene management.<\/p><p>Additionally, the events will highlight efforts to promote <strong>women and girls\u2019 rights<\/strong> through partnerships with the Program Coordination Committee and school cluster leaders. These stakeholders are reinforcing model school standards through information campaigns, educational materials, and monitoring in alignment with MoEYS guidelines.<\/p><p>ADRA Cambodia is implementing the \u201cuniting TOwards Gender Equality for enjoyment of women\u2019s and girls\u2019 Total HEalth and Rights\u201d (TOGETHER) project thanks to generous funding from the Government of Canada.
