Stung Treng, Cambodia – On November 14, 2025, ADRA Cambodia’s TOGETHER Czech project team, in partnership with the Stung Treng Provincial Health Department and local authorities, proudly announced the inauguration of a new Delivery and Waiting Room Building at Komphun Health Center, Komphun Commune, Sesan district, Stung Treng Province.
With financial support from the Czech Republic Development Cooperation, the new standalone facility—measuring 5 meters by 10 meters—was constructed by ADRA Cambodia through the TOGETHER Czech Project. Construction began on July 21, 2025, and was completed on November 10, 2025, with a total value of USD 23,901.28, including essential equipment for the facility.
The TOGETHER Czech Project, launched in April 2025, aims to strengthen the provision of gender-responsive, inclusive, respectful, and quality health services and nutrition interventions. The project also promotes Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) and the prevention of Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) among the most vulnerable adolescent girls, women, and children under five in target communities.
Approximately 500 participants attended the inauguration ceremony, which was presided over by His Excellency Phay Bun Chhoeun, Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister and Head of the Royal Government Working Group in Stung Treng Province; His Excellency Sar Sokputra, Governor of Stung Treng Province; Dr. Ung Soviet, Director of the Stung Treng Provincial Health Department; Ms. Michaela Šrubařová, Project Manager of ADRA Czech Republic; and Mr. Felipe Gonzalez, Country Director of ADRA Cambodia.
